Among my New Year's Eve resolutions was to read more, so I set aside 52 books for the year, and have already read two not on that list. BTW I don't start my resolutions till my birthday which passed last week.
So I recently finished Horror Times Ten (1970). Includes stories by Bradbury, Lovecraft, Derleth, Howard, Doyle, Bloch and others. The best one has to be Bloch's The Skeleton in the Closet. The author of Pyscho had a great sense of humor. The biggest surprise was western writer Max Brand's That Receding Brow. As the intro to the book claims, most of these stories were uncollected prior to the pub date.
Among my other resolutions was to do what I'm calling the Bradbury Experiment, one short story, at least a rough draft per week. So I wrote one a few nights ago, must've been about 3 am. No name for it. Hmmm, I should label it something so I can trace it back to this blog.
Oh, and another resolution: start a blog.
